Requirements to Apply

  • Applicants must be a freshman, sophomore, junior in high school at the time of applying.
  • Essay: Applicants must submit a short essay explaining why they want to attend a summer science camp at Hillsdale College (max 300 words). Essays should be saved in a Word (DOCX) or PDF file format prior to uploading and submitting.
  • Letter of Recommendation: Applicants must provide an email address and the name of a teacher from whom they would like a letter of recommendation. Our system will automatically email the listed teacher to request this letter; students should notify their teacher in advance to look out for this email.
  • Transcript: Applicants must provide their unofficial current high school transcript (to be uploaded via the application).
  • Application Deadline is March 15.

Important Information

  • Once an application is completed, applicants can expect an application decision by mid-April.
  • The 2025 Summer Science Camps run June 22-27.
