Your schedule will include the following:
Official Admissions Interviews are an important part of the application process in which prospective students meet with an interviewer to discuss their involvements, passions, academic goals, and college search. This generally lasts 30 - 45 minutes, after which both the student and guests meet together with the interviewer to answer any additional questions. Interviews are for high school seniors in the fall and seniors and juniors in the spring.
Unless you have already had an interview, we strongly recommend participating in one while you are on campus.
You may sign up for an Evening Visit, which includes dinner, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on either the evening before or the day of your scheduled visit. During an Evening Visit, you will be paired with a current Hillsdale College student and will shadow your host student throughout his or her normal evening activities, which could include a club meeting, a guest lecture, or a game night with friends in the student union. Parents are welcome to join their student for dinner, but the after-dinner activities are intended for the prospective student alone. Overnight accommodations are your responsibility. (A discount code for the Dow Hotel and Conference Center will be included in your registration confirmation email.)
Please note that we have limited Evening Visit availability, and we give these spots on a first-come, first-served basis.
